Westminster Hall Debate – Economic growth and Coastal towns

Posted on Updated on

John Pugh MP for Southport has moved a debate on Economic growth and Coastal Towns which will be held today in Westminster Hall from 2:30 to 4pm.  Regrettably news of the successful ballot for debates in the Westminster Hall, which is normally announced in the previous week, didn’t become public knowledge until yesterday when Parliament returned from recess and it has taken time for the news to filter down us:

Meanwhile British Destinations has sent some 85 coastal resort MP’s in England and Wales a hard copy of the Sheffield Hallam report Seaside Towns in the Age of Austerity (assess it here ) together with a letter inviting them to attend a briefing and discussion with Professor Steve Fothergill and members of the British Destinations’ Board in room M, Portcullis House 4pm – 5pm, Wednesday 14 January: https://britishdestinations.net/house-of-commons-meeting-invitation-14-january-2015/ .

If your destination is a coastal constituency then please consider encouraging your local MP or MPs to attend the debate today and our meeting on the 14th January.
