On the 11 December 2015 Department for Communities and Local Government announced the 77 grants awarded from the £3m Coastal Revival Fund in England. The grants from the fund, first announced pre General Election, now have to be spent by 31 March 2016. This doubtless will have had some influence on the selection of the applications, of which there some 222 for a total of c£9m. DCLG have also announced a very welcome second round for 2016/17 of £1m.
