Annual Conference Report 5/6 October 2015

 The British Destinations’ annual conference entitled Tourism & the Visitor Economy in the Age Austerity was held in the Imperial Hotel Blackpool 5th/6th October 2015.  The event majored on funding and management threats and opportunities in this a period of unprecedented public and private sector austerity.

A total of 35 delegates from 24 organisations attended and 7 major and 2 shorter update presentation were made. Of the 9 presentations 8 are reproduced as below.  Detail of the 9th, a verbal update on the plans for the British Destinations annual destination intelligence survey 2015, will be communicated to member organisations shortly:
