Carrier Group Marketing Awards 2015

Carrier Group Marketing Awards 2015

The Carrier Direct Marketing and British Destinations Awards have been running since 2007. The Awards are for the best Brochure Front Cover and Best Website Homepage of British Destinations Members. Historically the brochures and websites have been judged by a panel on specific criteria, however for 2015, we have changed this process to be voted for by the public.

The member’s brochures and websites were shortlisted by a panel from which the top 5 brochures and websites were then emailed to a database of 22,000 consumers who have requested brochures from the www.theukexperience.co.uk website for the casting vote.

Brochure:

1st Isles of Scilly

Clean, classic, evocative. Very fitting of the destination itself. The cover image draws you in. I want to be there!

2nd Isle of Wight

A contemporary design that really stood out amongst the majority of other ‘stereotypical’ brochure front covers. The illustrative style conjures up a look that you could quite easily imagine being framed and hung on the wall. Clean, fresh, different.

3rd Isle of Thanet

Something different in the world of brochure front covers. Not a new concept by any means, but refreshing to see the magazine style staking its claim for a place in the tourist guide racking.

Website:

1st Visit Cornwall

A Light base gives the user interface space to breath – the brightly coloured points of interest are well defined and the overall experience is relieving. They have made use of the header space to give the user a search facility and prioritise social networking platforms with clearly identifiable icons

2nd Isles of Scilly

A most visually striking and well thought out website – a well branded grid based layout with clearly defined navigation points, large typography and high quality photography lead to a rewarding user experience; contemporary user interface patterns such as ‘cards’ and ‘sticky headers’ make the website intuitive.

3rd Visit Swansea Bay

A clear navigation system with optional accessibility features, uncluttered user interface with light, natural, colour scheme and an intuitive feature for upcoming events made the overall user experience interesting; information was quick to retrieve.
