VisitEngland Consultation on Growth Strategy for England’s Tourism Industry closed 15 May 2015 Plus summary of results

Launched on the 16th March at the start of English Tourism Week, VisitEngland conducted an industry-wide consultation on the future growth strategy for England’s tourism industry. The aim of the consultation was to allow the industry to input into the development and direction of the strategy. The consultation ran until 15th May 2015. For more detail and to take part in a short survey visit visitengland.com/tourismgrowthstrategy The consultation set the stage for the mid-term refresh of the Strategic Framework for Tourism 2010-2020 launched five years ago, outlining the ambition for the tourism industry to grow by 5% in value, year on year, to 2020. Now, halfway through this journey, VE revisited the strategy to refresh it for today’s marketplace and delivery context, to ensure the tourism industry in England continues to thrive. The original strategy was developed in close partnership with the industry and VE wanted to repeat that highly effective process with our mid-term refresh. Supported by VisitEngland this strategy will rely on the wider tourism industry taking ownership and action to ensure it becomes a catalyst for greater collaboration and partnership working nationally and locally. This is why your views are so important to its further development. It is an exciting time for the tourism industry in England and together we can achieve great things. The consultation can be assesses at visitengland.com/tourismgrowthstrategy whilst the results can be viewed at:
