The Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA), is the professional body for people in public finance in England and Wales, with over 14,000 members working throughout the public services, in national audit agencies, in major accountancy firms, and in other bodies where public money needs to be effectively and efficiently managed.  TISonline is their online information resource which includes over 30 information streams, with guidance and commentary on the financial, legislative, administrative and strategic context in the public services.

Access is password protected and normally confined to individuals working within CIPFA member organisations.  To allow wider access among tourism professionals, CIPFA have kindly given us permission to reproduce their recently published and very extensive  briefing paper on “Tourism” :

Many organisations are already members of CIPFA and if you think yours is then why not contact TISonline to obtain password protected access. http://www.tisonline.net/
