The Tourism Alliance has produced a manifesto for the 2019 General Election. It is designed to act as a briefing note for politicians and others, outlining the Alliance member’s key shared ambitions for the industry in 2020 and beyond.
Not all of the major issues or the proposed direction will necessarily find favour among all sectors, across all business types or interests groups. However, there is more than ample common ground to satisfy the vast majority, including, for our purposes, several major sections around support for destination management, for all destination types and for domestic tourism, the primary source market for the vast majority of UK destinations and tourism businesses:
